Description of activities:The Faculty’s primary activities include teaching and educational activities, research and development in natural and mathematical sciences, allied and interdisciplinary disciplines, and publishing activities. The faculty also engages in consulting and environmental protection activities, as well as other activities that market the outcomes of scientific research activity, all while maintaining the quality of teaching and basic activities.
The Faculty’s teaching and instructional activities are structured into the following organizational units: Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Institute of Biology and Ecology, Institute of Physics, Institute of Chemistry, and the Department of General Education.
Within the aforementioned organizational units, or as a form of interdisciplinary organization and connection, special organizational units were established: Center for Environmental Protection, Center for Permanent Education, Center for Fisheries and Inland Water Biodiversity Conservation – Aquarium, Botanical Garden, Center for Radiation and Chemical mutagenesis and antioxidant protection, Center for Molecular Biology and Physiology, Center for Computer Modeling and Optimization (CERAMO), Center for Mathematical and Informatics Education.
